Tone Test - What is the source of the word pairs tested?

I haven't imported any of my own vocab or used any of the other features since I currently only want to practice tones. The tone test works but it only quizzes me on about 10 particular pairs of words.

I was expecting it to test me on all of the tone pairs of Ma or Ma. How do I get it to test me on more word pairs? Do I have to add my own to a list?

What a nice surprise to see you on this forum

I really can't see why the tone test would be limiting you in that way. The program should install a database of about 2,500 questions and the expected behavior would be you would get drilled on all of them randomly from the word go. This is in contrast to the character, vocab and revision testing which are all based on the items you have imported or added to the program.

I will do a bit of debugging of the program with only a very small dataset and see if I can replicate the issue or see any reason it might be happening.

Well I found the bug quite quickly, and it would only affect users who were starting to use the module from scratch which is why I hadn't been affected by it myself. I have uploaded a new version (7.2.3.1).
